FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
 

Q.  WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?

A. The event will always go ahead in the event of bad weather. Ponchos and a partial covered area will be provided in case of rain. Please check the weather forecast in advance and be prepared for the Great British Summer. Screenings will only be cancelled if the weather conditions present a danger at screening time. Patrons accept the risk that weather they consider unsatisfactory may occur on a screening night and acknowledge that tickets will not be exchanged or refunded unless a screening is cancelled by The Luna Cinema. In the unlikely event that a screening is cancelled, we will aim to give as much notice as possible, so please keep an eye out for information on the website and social media. 

 

Q.  HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY TICKET?

A. This depends on how you choose to book - you can opt to have a print at home ticket or a physical ticket that is posted to you by first class post.  The charges for each are clearly set out on each booking.  Some of our venues are subject to varying ticketing methods and cannot offer both options – in this case the procedure available is clearly stated when you book.  Please make sure you bring your ticket (whether it’s a print at home, e-ticket on a device, or posted ticket) to the event as our staff will scan each to ensure validity.  If you have any queries with regards to our ticketing, please contact us.

 

Q.  CAN I BRING FOOD AND DRINK?

A. You can bring picnics with you to most of our venues, but it's worth checking each venue page as it can vary.  Please note that no glass of any kind is allowed onto sites, including bottles. All drinks must be in plastic or cans and please use plastic to drink from as opposed to glass that can easily break.  In addition, we will always have a bar and hot food for sale on site - check each venue page for details by clicking on the 'Venue Catering' link on venue pages.

 

Q. WHAT'S A PREMIUM TICKET?

A. A Premium Ticket gives you use of foldable, kid friendly backrest for the duration of the screening. Simply pick it up at the collection point as you enter the site, set it up in your chosen spot, and return it as you exit at the end of the screening.


Q. CAN I BRING SOMETHING TO SIT ON?

A. Yes, by all means feel free to bring a picnic chair or blanket to sit on.  Please note that our ushers request those members of the audience on chairs not to sit at the front, but rather position themselves at the side or towards the back of the audience arena.  We have blankets and inflatable back rests for sale on site.

 

Q. WHEN CAN I ARRIVE AT THE SCREENING?

A. For all screenings, doors open half an hour before the scheduled start time. We recommend you arrive at this time to reserve your place as space on site is on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Q.  CAN I SMOKE AT THE SCREENING?

A. Smoking is not permitted at our screenings.

 

Q.   CAN I BRING A DOG TO THE SCREENING?

A. Only service dogs are allowed at the screenings. Otherwise, no dogs are permitted at our events out of respect to other audience members. We apologise for any inconvenience.

 

Q. WILL THERE BE TOILET FACILITIES AT THE SCREENINGS?

A.  Yes, all our screenings have toilet facilities, including accessible facilities. 

 

Q.  WHAT AGES ARE COVERED BY THE CHILD’S TICKET?

A. Children aged 3 to 15 are covered by the Child’s General Admission and Premium Tickets. Young infants under the age of 3 have free entry and do not require a ticket. Please be aware that children must adhere to the film’s certification and our ushers have to check to make sure that all audience members are the suitable age to see the film. Please ensure you have photo identification with you if your child may appear younger than the listed film certification.

 

Q.  WILL THERE BE FOOD AND DRINK AVAILABLE AT THE SCREENING?

A. Yes – we have food and drink at our events, though please check the screening details on our website in advance as to what will be available.  This may change with short or no notice.

 

Q.  WHAT IF I FORGET MY TICKET?  

A. Please bring your ticket along – if you do forget it, we have a record of all bookings, so if you provide our steward with your details we can admit you into the event.  All audience members including children must have a valid ticket.

 

Q. WILL THERE BE SUBTITLES?

A.  Not as standard, but if you have a large group coming that requires subtitles, please let us know and we will see what we can do. Where we show foreign language films we do always display subtitles.

 

Q.  IS THERE WHEELCHAIR ACCESS? 

A.  Yes, all of our sites have wheelchair access, please inform us if you require any additional support on site and we will ensure you are looked after.

 

Q. CAN I HIRE THE LUNA CINEMA FOR A PRIVATE EVENT?

A. Yes, our entire cinema set-up can be hired for parties, corporate screenings or whatever occasion you like!  Please contact us and we will provide you with more details.
